I was craving prawn noodles and decided to try a stall at the newly renovated Hougang Mall food court. Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. The taste was nowhere near authentic prawn noodles. The sauce was bland, the pork cracklings were stale and hard instead of crispy, and the soup tasted overly sweet, almost like sugar water. For a bowl priced at SGD 7.30, the only topping was two medium-sized prawns, each sliced in half. This is poor value for money. Not recommended.

I ordered the dry prawn mee pok from this store. Unfortunately, this dish fails as a mee pok, a prawn noodle, and as a ban mian. Lady was pretty friendly so that’s probably the only saving grace to give this store 1 star. Purely evaluated on food, this deserves 0 stars.

$7.50 for Dry Braised Pork Noodles, kindly take a look at the amount of pork. Tastes bland as well.
